Nanak Singh Pustakmala, Amritsar, 1993; Pages: 80

Shubhchintan was warmly received at its opening session in the Punjabi university, Patiala, where it was introduced and read in its entirety by Navtej Bharati. Since then it has been widely discussed at poetry forums. It was included in the Punjabi graduate course work at Delhi University  and at some other institutions.

"After reading poetry such as this, one feels that Punjabi culture and language have strength, enormous strength, to communicate with the times". – Dr. Gurbachan. (critic, columnist, Punjabi Tribune).

A quotation included in Shubhchintan

Ajmer Rode in his new book, Shubhchintan, has used poetry and prose in a unique way to share his "ocean of feelings" with the reader. His viewpoint is that today we need not only thinking but noble thinking.- Watan

True to the noble meaning of the book title, each poem in Shubhchintan is capable of projecting the image of Punjabi poetry at the international level.-Dr. Jatinderpal Singh Jauli (critic).

Ajmer Rode, during these dark times, has illuminated Punjabi Poetry  with Shubhchintan. – Dr. Chaman L. Prabhakar (critic, essayist),  Punjabi University.

I have greatly enjoyed reading second, third and fourth parts of Shubhchintan. The part containing Dochitian is extremely beautiful.-Harinder Mehboob (poet)

Very few books enthrall the reader, kindle his path and etch their footsteps forever in his memory. Shubhchintan is truly one of them.-Kirpal Singh Pannu (author)
